Privacy Policy

QuickText is designed to protect your privacy by default. It runs on your device, uses no AI, and does not send your templates or personal data to us or any third party.

Summary

We operate no server that receives your data. We collect no analytics, tracking or advertising data. Your templates and settings stay in your browser storage. Optional Chrome Sync uses Google storage tied to your own account, not ours.

What is stored

Templates, folders, tags, settings, optional profile fields you enter, optional local usage statistics, and local backups. Everything is stored in the browser on your device.

What we do not collect

QuickText does not collect your browsing history, page content, keystrokes, IP address or location. It does not read or transmit the content of the pages you visit. It only inserts text into the field you actively focus, when you ask it to.

Clipboard

The clipboard variable reads the clipboard only at the moment of insertion. Contents are not stored or transmitted.

Chrome Sync

If enabled, templates and settings are stored in Chrome sync storage associated with your Google account and governed by Google policies. QuickText keeps no separate copy.

Deletion

Your data remains until you delete it. Trashed templates are removed after 30 days. You can erase everything from Settings, Privacy, or by removing the extension.
